It's possible. When the ECU detects a lean condition it will cut off all fuel and it feels like your engine completely shut off. It's very hard on all engine components. You can also hit it by running too much boost. I think it'll hit boost cut around 12 or 13psi. I hit boost cut at 12psi...
Well to be honest I've never built one as my leaks all were obvious where they were coming from. The hoses running from the intake hose also need to be checked as one of them may be split and causing the problem also. Search on here for a boost leak detector and I'm sure there is a few threads...
Ok so you jumpered the terminals in the diagnostic port per TSRM and didn't show any codes??? Turbo spools how? Actually showing any boost on your gauge? Black smoke running rich boost leak somewhere? Check all clamps and connections again. If all are tight buy or build a boost leak detector. A...
Never had a problem with my motor flopping forward or back after removing the tranny which I did like three times (newb). Did have to put a block under the crank pulley so I could jack up the front of the motor so I could reach the top tranny mounts so maybe it moved some. And it is a real PITA...
Wish there were some junkyards around here with supras in them. But from what I'm told there were only 3 or 4 supras ever sold around the southeast Mo. area. And I've never seen one in any of the junkyards around here.
Sounds like I need to go for a ride:icon_razz. The only changes I have made are burning up my tranny and putting on an RSR GTII Ex-Mag Exhaust. Hopefully getting another tranny soon so I can be back on the road.
Todd hows it going man? I remember when that 74mm single MKIV mistaked my car for yours and blew my doors clean off:cry:. It'll be a while before I'm even close to that fast. pgiller you have pm.
I wouldn't worry about your paint too much. There were plenty of Supras there that didn't have perfect paint jobs. Mine doesn't have a perfect paint job either. The front is brighter than the back lol. I'll see whats in my schedule for Oct. 3rd and if I can take a couple of days off I'll be...
Hang out, Cruise, hit the local race spots, and just whatever. They usually have a big thing planned out in advance. They take pics and what not and there is usually a Dyno Session.
Well they had one at the beginning of this year and I'm not sure when the next one is. I heard about the meet on the other forum. If I hear of one close by and I have my Supra running I'll PM you and let you know.
That's odd. Usually it idles funny. I know that when Driving mine with the upper intercooler pipe off it would try to die alot. Well when you get the intercooler hooked up hopefully that fixes your problem. I'm guessing you checked all the simple stuff like Spark plugs and what not. Check codes...
Wait you said you don't have your intercooler piping hooked up? That would cause the car to run rich hence the black smoke. Also your idle will be really rough because un-metered air is entering through the intake pipe instead of the AFM. That should be the cause of your problem. Hook up your...
