Neither the fuel pump or the lack of safc2 are causing fuel cut. It shouldn't be boosting to 16 psi without any boost controller, I would check to make sure the wastegate is working properly. I run a very similar setup to yours and it seems to hit fuel cut around 19-20 psi.
Not the issue. Most likely a boost leak. You can do a boost leak test, but I would guess your mechanic left a clamp loose somewhere on the piping that you should be able to find.
I wasn't sure if my stock gauge was right, so I installed a mechanical gauge and compared the results. Engine is thoroughly hot in all the pics. The oil pump has a 5mm shim in the relief, oil filter is directly on the block while I save for a full flow remote filter mount and cooler.
Stock idle...
So true. You can always spot them with the top down, windows up, wearing baseball caps. Lol.
I either have people that love or hate my car. Those that know Supra's show it a great deal of respect.
Correct.
If the steam starts immediately, it's probably a BHG as the coolant is burning in the combustion chamber. If it takes 30 seconds or so to start, it's probably just condensation in the exhaust.
I got sick of my car stumbling and going rich whenever I let off the gas, so I refitted the stock BPV. I now have a small amount of compressor surge whenever I let off. If anyone has pics of a recirculating setup that can flow enough air to eliminate surge at higher boost levels than stock I'd...
Way slow. Even at only 10 psi with a 57 trim I have no traction through 1st and 2nd.
BTW, intake temp sensor is integrated with the AFM in case you didn't already know.
You're going to be amazed with the power once you fix the KS wiring. (RG58, ground shielding at ECU side)
Tried this a while back. There was a very small amount of noise. What bothered me though, the shifter is really low and the throw is still really far. Shifting feels worse than stock. I wouldn't recommend doing it. Luckily mine came apart without breaking so I was able to put it back together.
