The Cressida is 300 lbs lighter than my MK3. Same weight reduction mods except race seats in the Cress and stock seats in the Supra.
I've been having all kinds of fun in this car. Here's a vid of it in action.

No problem!
No, I removed all the AC equipment from the car and the harness goes through the hole where the a/c lines used to be. The ECU is mounted on the firewall behind the hvac system.
The $75 kit includes all of the shims, the ones you use depends in the clearance inside your specific diff. I'm running a stock 1jz with full exhaust and intercooler only but It's a drift car so it takes a lot of abuse. 7k rpm clutch drops are a regular thing. No diff problems yet. The diff...
7mgte oil pressure is so low because the M series oil pump design was never meant to deal with the extra leakage points from a DOHC head, turbocharger, oil squirters, and oil cooler relief. This results in LESS oil flow through the bearings. People that think the 7M has low pressure and high...
Yes the spring is replaced with a spacer and two belleville washers.
No, the crush sleeve you are thinking about is in the differential pinion shaft. You don't have to disassemble that part of the diff to install the kit.
This is quick and dirty track car wiring to a switch panel, you'll need the harness pinouts under the dash to wire it in correctly for a street car.
Constant 12V to pin 14, switched 12V to pins 9, 22, 23. This powers on the ECU
This is a JZX90 harness so it might be a little different...
The Cress is finished besides coilovers which come in on the 22nd. Added a Weir stage 2 LSD kit to my Supra LSD and swapped it in, so far much better than a welded. I've been dailying the car and it's been running great!
Pictured with my good friend's 89 MK3.
My stock LSD was barely working like most of them out there. Tested the breakaway torque at about 20 ft lbs. A friend and I both ordered the Weir stage 2 kits for our cars. Installation is very straightforward. Everything fit perfectly. First you separate the carrier and exchange the stock...
I have a 2.5" exhaust with a Vibrant Streetpower muffler on my 1jz. No cat. Couldn't be happier with it. Very quiet at idle and driving around town. Almost stock sounding. Incredible for a straight through, zero restriction exhaust. Get into boost and it sounds great and gets pretty loud!
I've been admiring it on CL while I've been browsing. I'd keep the price where it's at. Like everyone else said, a proper bolted down battery box and a fan shroud and it would be perfect.
Took it for the first drive. It's very fast, but it's making 17 psi and slamming fuel cut because it only has an open 3" downpipe. Getting a 2.5" exhaust made in a couple days that will hopefully bring the boost down a little bit. It weighs in at 3050 lbs. Not too bad but I'm going to try to get...
