Speaking from personal experience, swapping in a 3.91 will improve your mileage, especially if you spend a reasonable amount of time driving at highway speeds. I didn't notice much loss when it comes to acceleration, I'm sure a tired N/A would feel a big hit though.

A friend's car had that problem, turned out his wires were storing electricity due to corroded contacts. Still odd to think about though, do OEM wires typically have that high of capacitance?

Oh, I know. Only a few pounds per gallon. I just figured I'd say it before someone else did. EDIT: And just for those of you who're looking for wicked weight reduction it's actually between 6-6.4 pounds per gallon at 74ºF. (depends on grade and additives)
