3.73 would make a bigger difference, but I think the LSD will hurt mpg.

-lighter driveshaft, wheels, tires will help more

The LSD does not effect MPG. Toyota put the 4.3 in the N/A cars because the 3.9, 3.7, etc does not get you the acceleration from a stop.

You won't like your car with less than 4.1.

You also won't gain any MPG, because you will be giving the engine more fuel to get you going from a stop.

It isn't posible, but the best way to get more MPG would be to have a 6sp tranny. 6th being a dbl overdrive.

Corvettes do this, and they get 30MPG doing 80mph (personal experiences)

Speaking from personal experience, swapping in a 3.91 will improve your mileage, especially if you spend a reasonable amount of time driving at highway speeds. I didn't notice much loss when it comes to acceleration, I'm sure a tired N/A would feel a big hit though.

yea it depends on what kind of driving you do.. if ur doing city driving mainly.. then keep the 4.30.. if its all highway then ur going to want to go to a 3.93.. but if ur changing from a 4.30 to a 3.91 and ur doing all city driving in a tired n/a... ur MPG will probably get worse...
