If you're referring to the SME section some of those have become a mess of more discussions than answers.
Precisely, and they're just going to be dying to fill it in with more stuff just so it seems more impressive. Then there's the fact that hardly anyone who ever posts genuine threads...
It hasn't happened before that I've noticed and I haven't driven the car since this morning.
Like I said, While it was happening I didn't notice any smell. The passenger window was closed and the driver's side open, so I figure I would have been likely to smell something as it crossed my path...
Heh, I keep thinking I should log my system with one of those mounted. I'd like to see just how it does effect the numbers.... and I've got the hardware to do it. A manometer wouldn't hurt either though.
I too would like to know how this would be doable for $1000. I'd also like to know...
Do we need that much redundant posting. Not only will people be inclined to simply mirror their build threads but you'll also end up with 30 different threads on how to build a FFIM and plenty more threads arguing over how you should build it and why their way is better. I see it becoming a...
I agree that there doesn't seem to be enough of what I would consider to be appropriate content. It's more likely to turn into a body repair group than anything... perhaps 5 threads by people making their own ITB and FFIM, but you can find those in the buil up section.
I'll look through the...
The question I'm left with concerning the dust/condensation (man on the grassy knoll) theory is that the air wasn't on and the vent is set to recirc. I suppose air could still be blowing past the door in the unit, especially at speeds around 130MPH, but is it likely to be enough to move enough...
Well, whatever it was it rattled the hell out of me.
Yeah, a witch... and apparently not a very good one. I got caught. The thought of a crowd with burning torches makes me want to hide under my desk. :icon_razz
I can't figure out why it only blew out of the passenger side though. Don't they...
I have been considering something as of late... I suspect that I may very well be in hell and all of this is a masterful charade. A week ago my wife and I smelled burning paper in her car... tore through the whole thing... nada... WTF?
Perhaps I was a witch in a past life and it's all catching...
Yeah, that's what the color had me thinking. The car had been sitting for about two weeks. But after I pulled the glove box and checked the wiring I sniffed at the vent and thought I just barely smelled something burnt... could have been my imagination I suppose.
I've got a big ol' fire...
You can program in different settings for the analog outputs without calibrating the sensor... still not a bad idea to recalibrate while you're working on it though.
I would try to get ahold of the previous owner for that info. I suppose, worst case scenario you could do a compression test to see how close it is to specs.
You're fine to do a retorque.
Timing control for the MKIII has been fixed and is good to go, look in the SME section for piggybacks for...
Ok, so I'm on my way to work this morning and I get on the highway. All of the sudden I notice smoke billowing out of the passenger side heater vent. It's not coming out of any of the other. It's not horribly dense, about like a freshly puffed on cigar. It only lasts about 30 seconds and it's...
I've done it while on the move before in another car. Probably the preferred way of doing it if you're not going to remove it.... seems to be the preferred method posted on their forums anyway. And I thought they said once every 6 months.
But, that doesn't answer the question gentlemen...
