well you see, i've been having concerns as far as that. Wouldn't the correct way to increase steering angle be by messing with the rack itself?
I would have figured that extending tie rods or inserting spacers would leave the alignment in a toe out setup and the cars alignment would never...
Well i know im going to get my supra sideways. Im thinking that the stock tie rods should be beefy enough not to snap. you got any pictures of the spacers? I just finished having my rack rebuilt and depending on the cost i might be interested.
Haven't gotten around to really driving my Supra seeing as its been under construction for 2+ years. Im rebuilding the rack and was hunting for aftermarket Inner Tie Rod and Tie Rod Ends but can't find any. How's the steering angle on the 87 Turbo Supra? Anyone know? Is there any need to...
Removed my head, cleaned it down and it seems its been resurfaced too many times. Can i use a GE head? I know the blocks are diff but how about the head? anyone?:1zhelp:
wich supra you got? i've seen a few mk3's at the hang outs... but more by the gas stations and the wendy's by I75.... wich ones yours 88? you the one w/ the grayish mk3 w/ the 1j and the z31 hood scoop?
Just remembered the point of this thread wasn't to inform you guys as to what parts i have, but to try to find out an estimated amount of power i should be making when all's done. If i knew how much id be making it would make it easier to know if i need forged internals or anything else to keep...
Ok... I've been asking a bunch of questions w/o laying some base information down. My Supra was running for about 2 weeks befor the clutch sc, brake mc, & mhg went. I decided to start this project and leave the car parked. The car has never been dyno'd, never been ran on the 1/4 mile...
Well im not sure what i want the car for yet... I want it as a daily for a while... but to live up to the supra name.... in other words, i want a fast daily. Not looking to set any track records but atleast would like to run low 11's. The head gasket went on my motor. It had an HKS 1.2mm...
so autolite copper as opposed to the NGK Iridiums? I was hoping on being able to have a reliable 7M w/o having to throw the rediculously large amounts of money required to upgrade the bottom end. Shoot, engine interals are expensive. Not to mention Im still a noob when it comes to engine...
Well i shouldn't be running on the lean side... Im investing in a wideband a/f gauge and my cars gonna run tuned. My CT26 also's been upgraded. No shaft play and it has an upgrade 60-2 trim compressor wheel to help exaust gasses get out. turbo's good for up to 22psi.
even if i have my wastegate shimmed at 10psi and the cars tuned? I dont intend on increasing boost past 10psi for now... Just to have the supra as a quick daily. Later when I got the money to buy the internals, then i'll park it, build up the motor, throw a boost controler on it and id...
Well, my goal at the moment is just to put as many bolt on's as possible, then get it running and take it to titan motorsports to have the emanage installed/tuned. Everything in the engine bay will be after marked (so i have planned) excepts for the 7M-GTE w/ will be running on stock...
yeah, just plug up the thread... I installed the Koyo on my 87 Turbo 5spd and i was like wtf when i saw it too... I just connected the hoses, blocked off the one w/ the thread, and filled it up.
well i have a greddy emanage that i have planned on getting installed and tuned once the cars up and running. Its gonna be stock ecu w/ piggy back computer.
colder would be 7... im planning on getting msd wires for my car. w/ all the mods listed above i wanna go to titan motorsports when my cars done and get my emanage installed and everything tuned. im hoping that w/ a stock re-sealed 7M-GTE, a titan motorsports 1.4mm mhg and a wastegate shimmed...
