Don't know how to read electrical diagrams and I'm colorblind anyways so it probably wouldn't help if I could lol
So should I have power when cranking?
I'm having a similar problem to the OP, my car died all of a sudden, I checked all the fuses and originally thought it was just old gas clogging the line somewhere (car has sat for several years but fired right up with new batt) but I checked the power at the fuel pump and nothing when I turn...
Like most things, I imagine if done incorrectly, there could be a lot negative effects. But if done correctly is it worth it?
I read a few threads on other forums about it

Ha! Figured it out, I'm a dumbass lol. Turns out I had the wires correct, but it was not receiving a signal because the temp sender was not hooked up, connected it with a blade connector and shrink wrapped it, now all my gauges but speedo work and I know what I have to do to get that working :)
That I can figure out lol, I really appreciate the help. I really need to actually learn some automotive electrical just so I can figure out some of this stuff instead of running to the computer in a panic every time something's wrong lol
Also: is it normal for the boost gauge to wait a while...
Both orangey-yellow? I don't actually know how to read electrical diagrams :( and I have zero electrical experience aside from wiring up HID kits in my truck or a stereo, so i, really outa me element here (plus I'm red/green colorblind lol)
Sucks that they never figured it out, I have the same issues and my widows work and everything :/
Do you remember which wires were for the temp gauge (color wise)?
My 87 took me back and forth from NC to MO more times than I can remember with a BHG and she never left me stranded
My 91 just had to 1JZ swapped in and I took it on a test drive from MD to GA that day
If your worried about driving it any real distance than why own it?
