euro cars had the slider controls and the reflectors under the plate. maybe it was imported?

IIRC we never got the slider setup in the US mk3's so its prolly a jdm unit somebody spliced into the car. i have a 89 control in my 86.5 it plugged up perfectly.

if you dont wanna go back you can just remove that E clip with a flat head screw driver (be careful tho they will get some distance if they shoot off) pull the pin out and see if the bracket will fit on the new struts. thats just if you dont feel like dealing with autozone people again.

i spent like a straight week once staying up like 20 hours a day watching i think all 4 stages or series or whatever and the movie. i think it was 4 i cant really remember by the time i got done i couldnt remember a damn thing about it because i was exhausted.
