We are no longer using the straight out runners, that is going to be used in our 1j after the 7m is done. We have gone the the angled runners to also allow the CSI and EGR to to placed in the center. I really wish I ahd a pic here at home to post up on the updated 7m design, it would explain...
Just looking at the pic I have on my sig. The new version is alot different. The runners have changed shape and direction. We have also been able to change the length of the plenium to get the fitment where we want it and even get the flow properties we required
Seth,
Kinda sorta like your pics ...We have a couple of options for the alternator, 1-relocate to where the A/C is and lose A/C or 2-damn close to what your doing, we have made a cast part that bolts to the engine and replaces the old bracket to drop the alt down.
The difference is or FFIM...
We are not making them in plastic! The printing process we use is more for prototyping, not parts. Aluminum is better a dissipating heat in products like these so we are going to stick to it.
The aluminum will be 7075 or 6061. We will decide that when we talk to the foundry. As far as...
First thanks EVERYONE for the kind words...
I think for the plastic prototypes maybe we should just do a raffle for everyone who buys one. The prototypes are actually pretty cool and are used to be bolted on. I'll talk to Greg tommorrow but I am sure he will be game. I know one will...
Come on now...what have we made that looks bad?
We are working on putting the EGR and CSI on the bottom in the middle. So you will not see the plates. The ISC valve...working on putting it on the back of the FFIM, you won't see it if it's there or not.
You guys have sent in so many...
You guys will love the new version.
Height...it actually sits about a 1/4" lower than stock. It will fit under the hood.
So the EGR wasn't an issue.....until...today...so after talking to about everyone who owns a Supra in CA today, it will be included. We forget about...
Our original idea is no EGR...that being said and being on the phone all morning to everyone from the state of California we will look into it and see what we can come up with.
Just off the top of my head I was thinking about making the CSI port able to be used for EGR so it would be an...
A few more things you can'r really tell from the pics. The entire plenium will actually sit closer to the fuel rail. When we do our drawing we have the LIPP fuel rail in there for fitment. If you still use the stock fuel rail that is actually smaller than the LIPP Fuel rail so fitment for...
WOW are the questions coming in fast through email and phone! It's nice to see so much interest.
Flow numbers...they will come once the final drawing is done. Every little change will alter it slightly.
Round VS current shape...We just don't want it to look like a round tube welded on...
The nice thing is it will be one piece...NO welds. Every part of this is completely modeled in the computer and than printed and installed before any tooling is ever cut. The end result is always Exactly waht we wanted it to be...now is the time for input.
We are going to have a Q45 or our TB which is the mustang pattern...I can't remember what the pattern is called off hand. It may be an additional plate that bolts to the face since our mock up is meant to fit up to a 90mm TB.
Our intake actually fits the same hieght as the one you showed, we...
Bolts directly to the intake manifold. It's a complete new part. All the runners have the EXACT same flow plus since we build the tooling and everything from scratch the runners are designed to increase flow as it gets closer to the head.
Cost...we are trying to keep it under $800, that...
When you take off your stock arms and put a straight rule on them you will see they are bent.
The LIPP arms will eliminate wheel hop, yes the stock ones are bad!
