I'd bet detonation. Mechanical damages (when something gets inside cyl) look much worse.

Well, I don't have kit yet (long-long shipping), but if Toyota Filter will fit it - it will be very good. I always use original toyota filters and haven't problems with buying 'em.

Hello! I ordered summit oil filter relocation kit. It uses Ford-style filter (3/4-16"). But there is one problem - we do not have American Fords in Russia. So we haven't filters for it. Tell me please mark and model of viechle which filter I can use with summit kit. Or maybe part numbers...

Check your CPS clearances according to TSRM. I think, it could be CPS problem (if you have too large gaps there).
