thankx guys for all the help. my rebuilt head and cometic gasket are torqued down very nicely with the arps. that rivet came out with some pliers and a dremel. now my attention can go to the rest of the build up.

I looked at my head gasket and it does have that rivet but it also has 4 others in different places. Can those be left in there? Also, I searched and couldn't locate the post on removing the rivet. Whats the best way to remove it?

I ordered a cometic metal head gasket from importperformanceparts.com and in the mail I recieved a wiseco metal head gasket. Before I call them and start badgering them is this as good as a cometic? Anybody used this maker before?

I am about to seal up my oil pan and I was looking in the toyota factory manual. There are these diagrams with A, B And C with pictures that I cannot figure out what they are hinting at. Does anyone know the meaning of these diagrams? Also, How thick of a bead did you run of FIPG on your oil pan.

I was reading that everybody is using the FIPG instead of the fel pro cork gasket. I could't find a final verdict on this. Does the fel pro seal properly? Also, would fel pro engine gaskets be mistake in comparision from the ones that could be bought from toyota?
