Thanks for the thought, I'm pretty sure nothing structurally is wrong with it. It sat level when I first put the suspension on and since then I haven't wrecked it or hit anything at all. I will check closer for anything that looks bent though.
I actually re-torqued the passenger side bolts...
Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my original post. The car sits the same no matter what surface it is on, my garage or a random parking lot the passenger corner sits higher.
I don't know if you can repair the switch itself. I got mine off this forum for under 50 bucks. Replacing it was easy, didn't need a steering wheel puller. It was just like 4 screws on the back of the steering wheel and 4 screws for the switch assemble. Then the big nut to remove the wheel...
I was just making sure that you weren't suggesting people get those type of bolts so they could tighten them more. I've herd people doing that before and using metal lock washers.
They used philips head screws to prevent over tightening. The specs are very low, in inch pounds. They also used rubber washers to allow the head to expand differently than the valve covers. If you crank them down extremely tight with no rubber washers you asking for something to crack down the...
When I installed the setup I used a floor jack to lift each corner then tightened the bolts. Maybe I didn't lift that corner high enough when I torqued the bolts.
Would not loading that corner enough cause this problems years after it was installed? Like I said just recently has it been a...
My garage floor is level and its also the same way(gap) on any surface I park on. I've backed into and pulled forward into my garage, same gap in the passenger side only.
If you stand directly in front or behind the car you can clearly see the rear corner is higher. Its like someone has a...
5 gallon for reserve is pretty common I thought. The light on my supra and jeep comes on with about 5 gallons left. I never go below 1/4 tank unless I have to though.
I have eibach with tokico blues and my passenger rear side sits higher. The shock/springs are a few years old and when you look at the car from the front or back the pass. rear is visually higher. I can fit 4 fingers between the tire and fender on the driver rear side and on the pass side its...
Still there has to be a reason they used the other type. I'm sure it wasn't something like "hey boss we ran out of fuses but we have some of this fusable link wire stuff laying around, can we use that instead for a few years?".
Maybe I'm just insane but it still seems like a weak link to me.
Yes, people are crazy enough or on drugs and cars do get broken into during the daylight. Not sure what that means anyways as I'm sure a lot of turbo timers are used at night.
Being able to drive the car for 5 minutes even with...
I'd like to hear the reason. I'm sure there has to be a good reason to go with that instead of a normal fuse like everywhere else. Wheres the JJ at, I'm sure he knows why they used it(and still has his factory original:naughty:).
Bypassing the simple ebrake handle switch seems like no big deal though. If that is the only thing keeping the TT running its not secure I think. Even driving with the Ebrake on would be possible. Unless there TT is keeping the rpm at idle only?
Since I'm NA, you guys with your turbo timers sound crazy to me.
Something I have always wondered though, how easy do these make it to steal the car? I have to imagine they don't play too big of a role since they are so common and popular. Just the idea of leaving my car running for 5 minutes...
