If you do the swap just to sell it you're going to be way in the hole after the cost of the swap. I just did an r154 swap and it cost like me 1700 bucks, if you do it on the cheap you could get under a grand I'm sure. How many offers do you think you would get after adding a grand to the price...
I can't begin to imagine how much money he has sunk into this thing so far. He wanted a particular model which I guess was hard to find plus he wanted it all built up. He bought it out of state and on the way home the motor basically blew. The kid who supposedly built the car up either didn't...
A guy at my work has been building/repairing a turbo eclipse for like 2 years now(I don't know the model but its the older one). He finally got it actually running and the first pull on the freeway he blew an IC coupler. He drove it for a while after that saying he just didn't boost. He then...
Hidden in plain sight haha. Label them something stupid like tail light washer right next to the headlight washer(if so equipped). I think one normal swich(up/down) then one rocket switch would be pretty fool proof. How likely would someone be to flip one random switch then hold the other while...
I run toyota red(50/50 distilled) with a stock cooling system in the Arizona heat and have no over heating issues. I get up to operating temp quickly(before I leave my neighborhood and get on a main road usually). I can sit in traffic for hours and yet to over heat.
I had the same 'boiling...
My block had small alignment pins, they held the gasket in place and then I put the head on. The alignment pins held the head in place as well, put the washers in first then the studs, no problems at all. Unless maybe you're hitting the cams or something and need to rotate the cams to fit the...
What's the big deal with replacing fog lights with driving lights? I don't think the location of the light being a bit low would make them illegal or useless. Aimed properly they should be just fine as driving lights.
I guess the OP should have worded things different and not called them fog...
I finally got the trans swap finished, I gathered parts for about a year taking my time getting as much as I could new OEM. Basically anything crucial is new oem while things like the clutch pedal were bought used.
The actual swap was way easier than I expected in the end. I decided to just...
Well, do a search on alternator fuses and you will get all the info you need then.
I blew the stock wire thing and replaced it with it with the correct fuse, no problems since.
Replace the fuse, if you have a wire(fusible link) in the engine bay fuse box for the alternator just replace it with a normal fuse. You have to get under the fuse box to remove it as it's screwed in placed.
