Are you going to strip down the body and frame clean everything up and put it back? Basically like a frame up resto?
That truck looks stupid simple to do a frame up on. .
Cool project.
btw couple of your last pictures arent working ;)
How bad is it?
Lexan will have to be replaced over and over depending on how much you drive. It scratches easily so it will eventually fog up and be hard to see out of.
ID check the entire rear end. Should be super smooth at those speeds,
For gear oil any 75-80w90 gear oil is fine for both. IF you have a lsd you will need a friction modifier and the correct amount for the amount of fluid in the diff. Ford friction modifier is good stuff and can be purchased...
Ive never used the maft pro boost controller but i dont have doubts in its capability. Plus then you can just throw the unti in the glove and forget about it after tuning and have a basic clean interior. Also maft vs maft pro maft pro can control some timing so you can get a better tune.
For...
For the bleeding, Sounds like the master went bad or there is a lot of air if there is no fluid coming out. It has a separate resivour then the brakes.
For the vibrating is the pilot bearing good? Flywheel bolts torqued and tight? Transmission good?
Also fyi if your getting grinding on all...
Who said anything about a built motor?
Thats cool for you but again its a built motor. Do you know how many people are running around with stock bottom ends?\
theres different types of dyno and everyones engine is different. you have to expect the bottom of the chart unless specified.
Id get under the car and check for play in the carrier bearing. Depending on how bad it is they can be only noticeable at around 65mph. If its real bad it will vibrate every time you start going.
Do your homework with a stock motor and compression you wont get that far. He had built motor. Who knows the compression.
Stock is 232 crank hp. Add in the 15% drivetrain lose and its like 190-200 wheel. Then add in 20 year old bottom end. Maybe 170. The add 5-7 more psi maybe like 250...
If your burning oil on cold start ups its the valve stem seals.
The oil getting into the spark plug valley is the no3 valve covers. There is a napa part number for drain plug seals that seal it up nice. You just remove the black no3 valve cover after. As long as the wires are good they will...
Supposed to be at the top to let air bubbles through.
But id cut it off to allow more to get through and it speeds up getting all the air out.
Also when the engine warms up id make sure that both the rad hoses are about the same temp and not one hotter than the other. That will tell you if...
There is no command for more fuel its less fuel and more timing. When there is no egr your missing the fuel in the exhaust gasses that the ecu thinks is there and you run lean causing detonation.
It doesnt know its not there so it still assumes there is fuel coming from the egr.
You could just cut the flange off weld it shut and move a foot down stream away from the turbo. Shouldn't take more than a half an hour to fix.
Seems like you change your oil prematurely. Id send it out and get it analyzed at the least. Changing your oil too soon to much is not the best for...
