Ya you need a paint job bad. And id ditch the black hood idea. More of a ghetto wannabe cf hood rocker. Get a cf hood if you want that. Just my opinion tho.
24afm(air temp sensor in the tps), 51 tps , 21 o2 sensor or circuit.

If you removed a/c and push the a/c button you will get 51. If you have a/c and i think the tps is your main problem.

Depends what you want basically. I like my 1jz but if i didnt spend the other 800 on something else i would have gone 2jz. 1jz revs higher stock and gets better gas milage. About the only good pro other than you dont have to bang the fire wall for the twins to fit,.
Ecu is the best place to look as it will show body connector color which is basically the ones you want to match. igniter plugs will be green on yellow plug and same with cps. Most connectors on gray plug have gray plugs.
The big hose goes to the intake. The smaller hose, there should be 2, will have coolant going through it. So if you have one connected and the other one not then coolant should be going everywhere. You can bypass them but its not recommended in colder areas. And really no point to unless its...
Flanges are way different. reg 1jz is 3 and 3. vvti is 2 1 1 2.
If you got the time and tools to do it your self it would prolly be better. Could also just make/cut/weld everything in 2's or 3's and make a couple of them and sell them. Im sure there is a few people on here looking for vvti...

My 1jz reg was 145 shipped. Thats pretty much the bad part about vvti is parts are harder to come by.
