This is regarding the 1jz head. clearly cylinders 2 and 5 are the smallest ones on the exhaust side of the head. what kind of difference do you think opening up the ports on just the exhaust side and port matching 2 and 5 to the new size would affect. power range, and overall output?
Couple...
Mark, Listen man, I wont meet even a 3rd of the members of this site but we are all adults here surely we can get our points across as such. You and I are Florida Members I have Already Met csnow , at some point we are likely to meet somewhere. I'll probably meet Ric. and whoever else from the...
I cant believe I am defending ric but even though he has his issues, you come across as a complete prick I like how you ended this with you saying everyone learns to try to soften the blow. but your nothing more one of those internet fags who gets a stiffy off sounding like he has a clue. The...
so will an ls1 .. its lighter than the 2jz and will perform better if tuned with the same mods, it has more displacement and flows more air. and again its lighter. but your not exactly switching to one. isnt it all about displacement and airflow? isnt that what determines a better motor?
Thats exactly my point.. doesn't mean the 2j is better then the 1j (performance), just that its a better option for your goals and purpose for the car..
I did my research, an ls1 is heavier than a 1jz, its an all aluminium block but it has TWO heads. also does support the high rpms the 1jz does reliable for road racing. the Sr's cant hold the power and rpms either for long without alot of head and bottom end work. and the weight differnce is not...
BS. 2jz make lighter cars very nose heavy, not ideal for road racing. adding weight to the rear to compensate makes the car even heavier, and makes the geometry even worse. its like saying putting a 500 cid iron block in an chassis is better.
btw the bigger the screen the more pixelization you...
Maybe not in mark 3 chassis. then again a v10 probably wouldnt crack 12's without mods in that body:biglaugh: seriously stop criticizing the 1jz because the mark 3 tank chassis is too heavy for it. its a good balance in rx7's and 240's. that road race.
15mm more throw on the crank, holy shit your right thats alot of technology. must have taken Toyota ages to figure out how to engineer crank to be half an inch bigger.
