    Rear BBK anyone?

No probs Dan, only too happy to share.

    Rear BBK anyone?

Yeah I guess its a case of different castings for different rotor manufacturers. The amount that needs to be taken off the lip is small enough that you could get away with a grinder or powerfile, without removing the handbrake shoes.

Yep, OEM rad in this car for now, its doing the job well (has been re-cored a few years ago), the only thing that worries me slightly about it is the potential for old plastic end tanks to crack with thermal fatigue.

    Rear BBK anyone?

Ok, so here's some more detail on what i've found this afternoon, for those who aren't assured that "bolt on" really is as simple as all that....... (i'm always a skeptic on these things!) Machining the I.D of the STi disc to 60.6mm gives ample clearance for fitment over the hub spigot...

    Rear BBK anyone?

As jt2ma71 says here, the e-brake shoe has heaps of clearance - just pulled mine apart to check and there's 6mm to spare, so no need for machining there. This is a good point, as the step goes the opposite way to what you'd expect...... who knows why its there? bloody Subaru....... :p...

    Rear BBK anyone?

Agreed 100% spiller........ maybe this is a better option hey! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-3D-BMW-E26-E36-E46-E60-E61-E90-E91-Brake-Caliper-Cover-Brembo-Kit-/170926019775?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27cbfc14bf I "might" get a chance to go out to the garage this afternoon and...

    Rear BBK anyone?

Just VHT high temp caliper paint in the can. With track work its likely to eventually come away in any case i'm sure...... not many paints would deal with the expected temps, but the rears are more likely to survive than the fronts at least. Yep, I'd say its a good idea to remove that step...

What they do for F1 teams and what they do for us on the street are a bit different i'd say :) They sure are a nice piece of kit, but do they do twice as good (or even 10% better) a job as a reputable Koyo at half of the price? I've had PWR radiators, and apart from the core itself (which...

    Rear BBK anyone?

Took mine out to 60.6mm (so roughly 0.5mm total clearance). You want them to be snug to avoid any run-out, but not a press-fit cause they may not seat properly against the hub. Yeah my rotors are RDA. And I painted the hats, you can see the rough masking edge :p. RDA also do a...

    Plasti-Dip my Supra?

I agree, "murdered out" looks sh1t ;) Plasti-dip looks like a bit of fun to experiment with though, but yeah, as already said, a proper job requires proper paint.

Just a hint: Don't waste all that extra cash on a PWR.......... the price does not necessarily reflect the design/quality. Are you running a hydro, clutch, or thermo fan spiller? Both the PWR and the Koyo 53mm rads are quite a bit thicker than stock.

    Rear BBK anyone?

Pics OEM: Sti: Note the step in the handbrake (e-brake) surface in this shot: Not sure if the step interferes with the friction surface of the e-brake shoe - need to do some measurements when its taken apart on the car. Cheers Phil

    Rear BBK anyone?

Some comparative measurements of the STi vs OEM rotors: OEM: Disc Diameter: 290mm Disc Thickness: 18mm Hat height: 50.5mm (from front face of disc) Center bore: 60.06mm E-brake drum: 190mm Drum depth...

Koyo make quality radiators for our cars. There are two main options, though most seem to go for the 2nd one automatically cause its the "race" version :) 1. #CO196 OEM style plastic top & bottom tanks Aluminium 2 row slimline core 32mm core thickness 33mm hose fittings 2. #RO171 All...

    1300 Kg Track SUPRA project

I think the main reason for the OS Giken clutch being so heavy is the push/pull converter that they use, the twinplates have the same issue. Carbon is great - takes a lot of the shock load out of the shifts/launches, and extremely driveable, but you do have to look after them by not putting...

Wow Josbeat, I only just found this thread, very impressive build mate, great to see an A70 out regularly on the track, well done. Good old Cedric hey...... he is a terrible businessman, with poor customer service, and a lot of issues with his product. Like you, I spent many months...

JZA70 Time Attack Track and Street

Yes correct josbeat, but the assumption for general owners is not that they run a CF hood or have the OEM seal missing :) Was not having a dig at you in the first place, just that the cooling plates don't have much benefit for the masses that buy them, having stock setups with the OEM seal...

Yeah that's right, the charcoal canister is isolated to the fuel system only, so shouldn't affect any oil usage/burning issue. How many km have you driven since restarting the motor now? As you say, a bit odd for a valve stem leak with them being quite fresh. Have you pulled the spark plugs...
