thats right i for got your on stock rad again, another thing is the FAL fans are over 1" thick so think of that being gone and more core. and 2.5" - 3" is much difference in diameter (1/4 of an inch a side more). so im betting there is more than enough room for a thicker core....ive done it

get you master sitting flush again, and rebleed your clutch. also make sure your pedal is engaging at the right height and your clutch isn't preloading

1j's have really good port velocity and 2j's have good flow...port velocity (the speed the air travels and where it travels) and flow (how much air you can push through) are two different things i believe he is getting that mixed up... IMO if your looking for HIGH HP then a 2j would be a good...
