If I were you I'd say ditch the rear speakers all together. The simplest wayto explain this is to have you think of a concert soundstage. Where is all the music coming from? In front of you :)
Stereo Imaging FTW :) If you do a search on sound quality level competition cars, you'll find that...
Wow...thats all I can even say is WOW. Lime you are a man of pure intuitive genius :) I wish we had more people like you! Definately keep us posted on how this whole shebang turns out!
With 0 backpressure the unburned fuel being exhausted would be sucked back up inside the compression chamber...or at least that's my understanding. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :D
Let me start out by saying I don't consider myself a "vet" by ANY means. I've been here a good while, and I still learn at LEAST 1 new thing every day from this site.
Next, I 100% agree with most of what Shaeff was/is saying. Having a conversation is 1 thing. Posts less than 20 characters long...
Well as the title states I'm experiencing a serious lack of oil pressure over here. I haven't had any time to crawl under/around the damn thing lately because of work. I'm at around 3psi idle, and around 16-19 anywhere above 2k. Oil pressure doesn't rise much after 2k.
What would a common...
As far as a turbo for 400+whp, go with an SP61gt :)
JT--umm OUCH. If I remember right the B&M I was looking at was like 1/2 that v_v
EDIT: the lexus AFM housing is necessary because 550cc injectors deliver 25% more fuel, and the lex afm housing will deliver 25% more air. Both of these...
how about a walbro and an AFPR?
DEFINATELY get a new tranny cooler...our stock cooler is um...well smallish to the max.
Hey JT--how much is the tranny cooler kit? I was looking at a B&M already, but if your price is right...:D
ROFL @ "the ghost of boosted"
No...I know what it is...it's those acclaimed 550cc injectors that aren't really there...$#&$#(*!!!
ActuallyI tracked it down to my Alpine deck. The ground isn't big enough:D
The noise almost sounds like the hum from a pair of speakers with a bad ground, but it's not the speakers. It's RPM dependant (meaning it goes up with the rpms). The noise comes from the front of the car, as in in front of me while Im driving.
Any ideas?
Step up to a CompVR PLEASE....at LEAST a VR. A VX if you can afford it. That's what I think I'll be getting instead of the 7500's :naughty:
BTW--that 600w amp (if that's the nominal [rms] power of the amp) is going to blow the living shit out of that comp)
Luda...ditch that bandpass box ASAP. The ONLY thing they're good for is hiding distortion. Go with a true ported box if you're looking for spl. Personally I prefer the sound of a sealed box with the tight punchy bass.
In any case, I'll be picking up a pair of MTX 7500's in a little bit, and...
