    leaking power steering.

It's not always the hose that leaks. After having my lower control arms done, I started losing massive amounts of PS fluid. Turned out the tie rods were tightened down too much for an old PS rack. Luckily the shop agreed to eat the labor on replacing it(got a reman. stock unit for $220). Just be...

my 87 with new 89+ tail conversion and my buddy's 90targa.

Make that five. And there's also a local guy(not on the boards) that wanted to trade me for his 89+ lights because he liked the older ones.

    TN roll call

Welcome aboard Robert. I know all about those 'forgotton' projects. I've had a set of ARP head studs sitting on a shelf for over a year. Just never found the motivation to pull the motor apart and have at it.

    7agze?????????

My 6GC page I had a black 95 hatch w/silver trim, 15" rims. I did the writeup for the 8" subs in the door. And yes, I was at PF 3 years ago with a dvcamcorder, it was the year we got a cabin and Brian wrecked on the way home(He wasn't hurt, and got a new one within a month). I remember your...

    7agze?????????

The general consensus was that 3 mounts would work, and the 4th would have to be welded into place. Other than that it's a new trans(normally the MR2 turbo, the 5SFE trans works but would break too easily). For me it came down to that being too much power for a FWD. And it's good to see...

    7agze?????????

Well, sorry I didn't dig up all the specifics. Most people I know don't consider an engine true dohc unless both cams actually have their own timing. On the Celica boards it was basically F=ecomony head and G=racing head(I spent years on 6gc.net and celica.net when I had my 85 GTS and then 95...

    7agze?????????

Yup, Celicas ran S and A series motors since the late 80's(<85 ran R series). Don't know why they dropped to the F series heads in the states for the 6th gen(overseas still got the 3SGE which got bumped to 200+hp). FYI G heads ala 7MG(T)E or 3SG(T)E are true dohc where F heads(7AFE, 5SFE ...)...

    240sx went down

MR2 engine sits where our trunks are. The transmission is actually a FWD style trans, used by many Celica owners who swap the 3SGTE into Celicas(making an almost alltrac/GT-4, used by HKS to make the first 10 sec FWD). I used to own a 95 Celica and really wanted an MR2 turbo, but since they...

    Help Quickly Please

Progressive isn't bad at all. They saved my butt when I got in a wreck in my Celica(and gave my $4K for it even though they were selling for 2500-3000). Right now I'm paying 110 a month for full(every option). That's with 1 ticket and a wreck last summer(totalled both cars, minor injury to 1...

    7agze?????????

This thread makes me miss my 7A powered 95 Celica. Sure it had half the power of the Supra, but it only weighed ~2400 pounds. There were countless threads on 6gc.net(6th gen Celica) about the different A series motors.

    EGR block off plate...

Around here they don't even pop the hood. They just look underneath to make sure you have a cat and stick a probed in the tailpipe to test for NOx.

I noticed on the online EPC. My local dealer didn't have one and wanted to sell me the new part # for 112. I'll be calling Jay Marks($33) as soon as I have some more cash. The accordian is split up the side, so I need to do it soon.

Have to agree after spending $50 on hoses/clamps over the weekend. All the cracked/split/dry hoses gave me a headache and I still have more to go(ran out of daylight and need to order an accordian hose). It made the biggest difference in how the engine runs.

    Rattle after boost

Well, I finally had time to get to it over the weekend. Replaced 1 rotted IC hose, several pieces of vacuum line, line going from turbo->wastegate(cracked in two when I touched it), 3000 pipe->TB coupler, and upgraded many various clamps. I'm going to the parents tonight so I might be able to...

    Does your serious relationship partner

Well, she's Catholic and I'm a Jew ;) She was a cheerleader type in HS and I skated/went to punk shows. So it's not like we're the same person(although we can finish each others sentences without even knowing the topic), we just have enough in common that we're happy with each others tastes...

    Does your serious relationship partner

My girl and I like about 70% of the same stuff. We have almost exactly the same taste in food, music, and clothing(she's a little more conservative). As far as hobbies go, I'm into cars/computers/guitar, while she's more into dancing/tennis. I don't think it's so much having general stuff in...

    Guy advice

My fiance feels the same way sometimes. When I first got the supra, I spent night and day fixing it and obsessing over it. Be glad it's a car and not another woman. If you're really wanting to spend more time with him, try learning more about the supra and cars in general. That advice may...

    Rattle after boost

Well, I'll report what happened when I get home. Half working linux laptop, so I may not be able to log in, but I'll report when I get to a browser. BTW, I love your mk2. I used to have an 85 Celica, and have a friend in Alaska that has an 85 Supra. I just love that body style. If I were...

    any atlanta people on here???

Looks like I'll be in town the weekend of Nov 4-6. She's having a c-section on the first and my mom will be there to take care of her. Probably won't have too much time to meet up, but I'll probably be at the mall in Alpha(don't know which one it is, but my sis and bro-in-law work there, he...
