I believe the ECU's have different shift points. The trans ECU shares the main ECU bracket behind the glovebox. I dont know about the ECT ECU. The only boxes I remember going down there are ABS, Main ECU, and the Trans ECU.

My 89 Did'nt wobble with the targa off but my 88 did. 89+'s have more reinforcement to dampen the wobble. Toml, Have you checked to make sure your bushings are all still good. One car I bought they had completely deteriorated.

They should be the same IIRC. Maybe the plugs are different colors at the worst. I swapped an 87 turbo auto into my 89 years ago no problems.

I was thinking about using some metal bars I have laying around to fab some makeshift brackets out of. They would screw into the stock mounts and then the supra seat would screw into the plate. That would be for the front "Hump" brackets. The rears would still be through the floor, Its pretty...
