Mine would drain slowly as well, so Id top it off everyday. I went for a few months (N/A BTW), but I got tired of doing it so I just replaced the gasket.
I think it was just the balls + it being a cold day that day. He was probally just a bleeder too cause I shot my other friend on his team and he didnt bleed.

Same thing on my rebuild, put it all together, and rodknock on startup.

Both are great planes but I just love the russian fighters, Id take an SU-35 or SU-37 any day.
A 14mm ratcheting wrench will save you a ton of time with the 2 top bolts behind the engine. You can also disconnect the EGR and heater hose which helps alot, but youll need to drain all the coolant and have new gaskets for the EGR if you do that.
