I havent swapped interiors but Ive pulled a few and its not that hard. just be carefull with some of the plastic trim mostly in the rear, the plastics brittle and the clips tend to break off.

The 1JZ can make alot of power on a stock bottom end and is a really nice engine. If you can afford it go for it. I personally prefer the 7M though.

take the battery off for awhile and the ecu should reset, see if that helps.
