GAP? I also gap mine at .028 Try regaping them it can't hurt. And check your coils for cracks. My car stumbled really bad not as bad as yours, but all of my coils had cracks. Some had four or more. I bought a whole set and some 6097 gaped at .028 and it runs like a champ now.

Mine was doing the same thing. I would go 15 and 16s and stumble real bad. I checked the coils and they were all cracked. So I bought a whole new set, and threw in some new plugs 6097s gapped at .025 and it solved that problem. Don't ask me how. It kinda didn't make sense, but it worked.

So about every 10000 miles. Gap them starting at .030 and work my way down by .002 till she likes it. Does that sound right?

Oh yeah, I forgot how long do these plugs last? I read some where that they need to be changed every 6k miles.

When my car acted like that it ended up being the tb gasket. I couldn't hear the leak. I got lucky I was looking at something under the hood and put my hand on the tb and was able to hear it then. Good luck, it kinda sounds like a leak. It is a pain in the ass to find them sometimes
