yur heater vsv is prolly dead
its a valve that opens to let the coolant flow thru to the heater core.
its a little BOV looking thing above the turbo on the firewall with a hose coming out the bottom and one out the side and a little vacuum line coming out of the top.
no turning the heat on gets the coolant circulating thru the Heater core.
lots of air can get caught in the heater core so turning that on cycles it thru there as well
sorry to thread jack but do the PS racks differ from pre 89 and 89+???
does the cross member make it not work? we have an 89 we are trying to put a PS rack in out of a mixed 89 (89 but had pre 89 Xmember
and motor mounts) well the newer 89 had PPS and we're trying to put in a a non PPS...
if you guys remember i was gonna do the 2J swap in my 86.5 but i just recently picked up a new body and this is where the Project begins!!!

yea i kinda figured when i put the tails on i was in a hurry to get to a meet and didn't feel like driling i'll get back at it tho cause i just picked up a new body
it has the 89+ 3 piece wing 89+bumper but pre89 lights so i'll be switching them
yea i have the hatch lock
i had the whole 89 parts car.
but pre89 bolts to the removable panel and 89+ bolts to the body of the car behind the center light and pre89's dont have those holes....
i guess i'll have to drill my own?
how did you guys get the damn Hatch lock to work?!?!?!
mine isn't even IN THERE its just a whole cause i can't figure out how to get it to mount up.....

i feel that the 1JZ is alot more reliable then the 7M but then again if you build the 7M right then they should be equal.....
i myself am going 2J cause i've had experience with both 7M and 1J so now its on to the 2J....
