Comon fix it up. Make it turn heads. Fast is good but having people comment on how clean your car is is better. Hopefully when you finish the engine, you can restore the exterior.

Yep, drivers are paid per tow. They spend their evenings looking for vehicles that meet the requirements. I doubt the apartment complex had anything to do with it other than signing the agreement with the tow company.

If the vinyl is split, you need to find a another dash and doorpanel. If it is the cloth/leather insert on the doorpanel, you can recover that.

Where did you buy the paint?

How close does the resprayed grey look to the original? Do you have a paint color code?

Also depends if the engine was pulled and the bay sprayed, the door jams, trunk area etc. A color change if not done right lessens the value of the car in my opinion.
