What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Started removing stuff to get to the head. I couldn't believe how fried the O2 sensor gasket was!

    Unsure of Overheating Cause

I have read here in various posts that Toyota factory red is required for MK3s to keep the water pump happy. Is that not true? Is there a better option?

How to obtain at most 300 Wheel Horse Power

This is a pretty old thread, but I had my LET-T16 ceramic coated and it has held up well in the winters now that I am back in Ohio where it gets cold. I don't drive in the snow that much though.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Did another block test this morning with no exhaust gases detected... Still losing a few ounces of coolant every drive, and I have a bottle confirming it is not coming from the overflow. Going to do a compression test next weekend and finally do this...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Wow, your engine looks great in that pic! I was at that point in 2013, but things are less clean now and I am sad to see exhaust components rusting again despite ceramic coating. The valve is definitely working, since I do get heat. If the replacement doesn't fix things then it will be head...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Nice catch on the wires, thanks for noting that. How I long for a new harness... I am not sure if the fan clutch was dead or not, it is likely original. It had okay grab when cold and was surprisingly free when hot. Car seems to stay in the lower cool position more often with the new one...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Changed out the fluid coupling (fan clutch) with a new Aisin one from Rock Auto because cooling has been weird lately. No cream, but I lost enough coolant to see the temp gauge actually move. No drips either, so I tried the fan clutch after giving the old a spin test. Things continue to be...

SupraSport LIPP high flow elbow pics

Love that part and tried to find one to buy a few years back. I have a BIC DDPR, but I would prefer the LIPP along with a DP that doesn't hang so low.

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

So cool that Supramania is back! Sadly the only thing I have done today is put the ugly new Ohio plate on my car. I moved back a year too late : ( And read through about 10 "cranks but doesn't start" threads since the car has decided to stop working. Must be mad it is not in a garage anymore...

    The Small Questions Thread

Left hand drive, though I should have specified that the pivot of the gauge needle would be fixed at 9 o'clock. Thanks for calling that out! I am seeing the opposite of what you mentioned, which would be the expected behavior to me. (Basically, drive car until gauge is at the usual peak...

    Guv'na's Tavern

Oh man, Pryo, that sucks. Both arms? Glad you are recovering! I have heard Bird is always down for a tractor pull style Supra outing!

    The Small Questions Thread

I have a question about the stock water temperature gauge in 89+ Supras. I have read in many threads that the needle is meant to sit near the middle of the gauge for a wide temp range. Mine tends to sit at about where an hour hand would be on a clock for 3:20 to 3:40, but I have noticed that...

Anyone know how to get ahold of Tokico Illumina II TEMS shocks?

I totally missed your response Joe, no worries on pricing, I was just happy to not have to wait extra months. Getting the shocks on was a hassle due to bump stops and no note in the TSRM about that spacer on the lower rear mounts, but I have been happy with them since the install. The...

Forge Motorsport FMDVS013B Bypass Valve Review

Enraged: I spoke to a lot of the car guys I worked with and everyone gave Forge Motorsport a glowing review :) I only wish I had found them before I bought the 034 valve. (The 034 valve was of quality construction, just not ideal for my application.) suprax7nut: Sadly I don't have any flow or...

Forge Motorsport FMDVS013B Bypass Valve Review

This is my first review of a part, so please feel free to send feedback or corrections my way to help make it better! The Problem Like many before me, I discovered that my stock bypass valve (17670-42010) was completely dead. I looked into the Bosch replacement, but due to availability and...

Looking for LIPP Turbo Elbow Specifications

Thanks again Nick and SupraDrew for the great pics and info! Thanks also to everyone else for the other comments. If welding was easy for me I might consider it, but my car is just an old auto that I want to keep as stock looking as possible. The LIPP elbow fits the bill perfectly for my...

Looking for LIPP Turbo Elbow Specifications

May I ask what downpipe you are using with it Nick? The same Lightning Motorsport one that SupraDrew mentioned?
