PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! Got a new alternator and linkable fuse wire today and all is well :biglaugh::biglaugh:

I set the crank to TDC, checked the cam gears, the exhaust side is fine, the intake side is 1/2 a tooth to 1 tooth out. i got a picture, i dont know if it shows it very well though

It's internal. I used an actual charge tester for the alternator for the test, and im not driving it lol

No idea, its a rebuilt from Fortins. I had a bosch on it before EDIT:Volts go up to 18V on the guage while idling now, when i turn the headlights on it goes back down to 12V. Did the test...Overcharging when guage says 18V at idle/driving, Low charge while idling with headlights on guage...

So what you telling me is that its supposed to be a wire in my fues box not a fuse?

My stock N/A does 16.4 so its pretty close to the base model...

so after the car "died" yesterday, i started it up and went driving today, its doing the idle thing really badly its almost stalling at some points, ive adjusted the timing...there is also a loud tick coming from the valve cover, louder than usual...im afraid that my supra might be dying. is it?

So my alternator decided it was going to die on me and start overcharging. First off, it blew up the capacitor for my stereo in my trunk and lit my trunk on fire....then yesterday it decided that it was gunna light the fuse box in the engine bay on fire, ended up blowing 10 different fuses, 4...

sweet thanks, ive got a new timing belt that needs to be put on anyways. the one on there has stretch marks so it most likely did skip

My 88 N/A has developed a wierd idle the last month or so, it sounds like i am running a high degree cam when idling and i have no idea why it is doing that...also, when i shift down and slow down there is a lot of "poping" coming from the exhaust. I dont know if that is linked to the idle...

Thanks...its on its way to becoming better yeah i agree actualy. those wheels dont exsist anymore after blowing up tire and bending a rim coming back from Centralia :3d_frown:

I blew up a rear tire going about 140 - 150 km/h on the drive home and bent the rim... so now im back to stock sawblades and possibly even stock ride hight if i decide to take my lowering springs out..

everyone from bc make it back okay?... i managed to blow up a right rear tire going 140-150 km/h on some random bump. it sucked...rims bent now. looks like im back to stock sawblades again

hey i think ill be going to this meet. if possible we should organize something so i can meet up with a couple of you up here in bc and we could drive down there together seeing as i have no idea where im going and i tend to get lost easy haha
