Arron: Agree 100% the 7M is a fussy thing to get right and the learning curve is steep, if you get it wrong it will bite you!

Got it in one! Rheostat=dimmer You could try a light spray of WD40 or CO electrical contact cleaner if you have any then rotate it a bit and see if it works. There should be a full on position that doesn't use the dimmer section so they should come on there. If not it's time to start...

Sorry I just made the assumption that it was speced for a 2 litre it would have a smallish wheel/tight AR to go with that Compressor. (should really have waited for GG to post more info)

    Shifter question??

I ran a 1 piece short shifter with a local built Dellow short throw mod in my W58 for some time but it annoyed me as at certain speeds it hummed (must have forgot the words) I changed over to a SS V2 Short shift and the hum went away! When I installed the Tremec I was a little concerned as it...

    Anyone running a GT35R on a 7mgte

The guys on SF were talking about a hybrid GT4067R that sounds really promising for our motors could be worth a look for the Jake Project! I'd pay the little extra and get a BB unit though as I feel it's benefits far outweigh the price difference!

    Woo Hoo!!!!! BHG for me!!!!

Did you break it in on synthetic? It may not have been bad enough to cause mechanical damage other than the sacrificial headgasket. The Gasket won't "blow" just from an over pressure there has to be something "wrong" for it to let go either badly prepped surface (low spots) or detonation...

    Anyone running a GT35R on a 7mgte

3540r with maybe a .82 ar turbine housing would be a spool monster! (They do one with a .63 that's rated to 550 so would probably make your 400 at low 20 psi)

About a foot down you hit the shallow end of the sump which then goes forward and down into the deep end :( Yes you'll need to drop the K Member. Personally I'd pull the whole motor and do the bearings while you're this deep into it.
