I had a perfect 100.000 KM's out of a set of stock wires just a pity they're triple the cost of the MSD's even having the MSD's airfreighted out to Australia!
My big system fell over on the weekend from the dreaded Dust Bunnies!
The power supply for the Drives and cooling system wouldn't fire up at all so I took the box out to the workshop and attacked it with compressed air and all is fine now! (I run 2x 520w PSU's)

MP: Yep the best fuel to use is the one that just above the detonation threshhold for the motor.
This is where I have a problem with home blended fuels as if you get it right you have no way of repeating the mix without some very specialised measuring equipment as base stocks vary so much...
You'd need to wash it well in MEK or Thinners then Clear it but it will yellow with age......

As with anything that gives an increased octane rating it's a total waste of time and money if the Motor isn't tuned to take advantage of it.
Upping the octane being the only change you may even see a drop in power due to the slower burn.
