Help educate an old guy here!
Why do you "lift" a truck?
(I can understand if you're offroading it but for road use it seems a bit backwards as it can't help handling)
Any gasket will be fine if the tune is right and it doesn't detonate.
I've ran stock type gaskets in other motors at 30 psi with no issues with a nice fat tune, lean it out and they would last seconds.
I'm a bit surprised one of the CT guys hasn't jumped in yet with a suggestion Jon!
Can you crank the inlet fitting away from the Comp cover a touch if the stud is trimmed?
(I'd be inclined to pull the stud and replace it with a bolt)
JJ: I tend to waffle on a bit but found fairly early on very few people will read and prefer to scan a page so most of it goes unread.
I also tend to break a post up into samll paragraphs for this reason.
As I said if it helps one person I'm happy and the rep system is a great indicator of...
JJ: There ya go!
You can take the lycra and underwear on the outside off and hang up the cape for the day! ;)
(I try to keep my posts short enough so people don't get the ADD thing happening and wander off)
Well again that's just the point I have no idea what you mean you have no history here so no I won't shut up.....
(I'm holding back a lot here as I don't want to turn this into a flamefest)
Suze: As I said it's all leverage....
If you get it right with a long enough lever you could hold it with one hand while someone cranks the bolt down with a torque wrench.
