    If you have a machined surface close by the spatter can actually weld itself there and the only way to shift it is with a grinder thus ruining the machined surface! Just a heads up!

    I tracked one down here but it was 12K just for the motor so I passed on it. (again in hindsight with what I've spent on my 7M I should have done it)

    Distributor was at the front in the Oil pipe hole that goes to the cam cover. NFI on that pad!

    Never tried gasless so can't offer any advice other then grab a can of antispatter and give the parts a good coat as this will make the finished job much prettier!

    The PCV system in our cars is very well thought out but it is limited in the volume it can flow so if your motor has excessive blowby it can cause this issue :( I went a bit nuts with mine after my old motor had a lot of blowby and increased all of the fittings and hoses to 5/8 and plumbed it...

    Pull the filler cap hold your palm on the hole with it running bring the revs up a bit and see if there's a pressure build up.
