Hmm, Oil problems and Blown Headgasket, any ideas?

It wouldn't get into the filter the screen "should" stop the big chunks. If it has ingested all of the small shrapnel the pump is toast at a minimum. Yes I'd think you would have noticed something was wrong if it had popped out but I'm at a loss to explain/understand that sort of damage!

Hmm, Oil problems and Blown Headgasket, any ideas?

Only other thing that comes to mind is it's popped out of the compressor as you've tapped it into the bore and folded up beside the piston :aigo:

Hmm, Oil problems and Blown Headgasket, any ideas?

I'm not picking shit or blamming you but "if" I had to guess at it and couldn't find a trace I'd say it didn't make it into the motor. It's stainless and very flexible so I can't see it disintergrating totally.

Hmm, Oil problems and Blown Headgasket, any ideas?

I can't even imagine how that would happen! If I had to "guess" I'd say it was never in there somehow!

Have a look at the settings on the camera and see if there's a little blue or green flower shaped button/icon? If there is select that then move the camera a little till it's in focus. If not move the camera back so Autofocus works then post em I'll enlarge em here so I can see the detail.

Guess it all depends on if you're going to keep the car or not! If you're keeping it I'd rering and bearing it just for peace of mind.

    Intake Air Temp Experiments

My "guess" will be you'll have to crank the MBC right back to keep under fuel cut as the charge is so much more dense at the lower temps! I have all the math here in a turbo book but couldn't be bothered running the numbers when it was easier to just crank the AVC-R back to 22 psi! I also...

I'm sure some of the guys will jump in with opinions soon! It just doesn't make sense to do all that work halfassed when to do it right isn't really anymore work and not that much more expensive.

    Intake Air Temp Experiments

Sounds about the same as I found earlier this month on the Dyno. We were seeing 45c at the AirFilter and 82c at the Manifold I fitted a CAI the next morning and had a 20c drop at the Manifold under boost and +3c over ambient cruising. Boost at the same controller setting jumped 5 psi just...
