    You need to unclip the end with the hole then screw it towards the actuator and do the locknut back up. You want about half a hole preload.

    $135 sounds about right! It's a very complex shape so wouldn't be easy to replicate, a couple of the guys have made sheet metal ones but there are usually gaps and Air being Air will always head to the path of least resistance so spills out the sides and you run hot!

    Sorry I don't have a pic but yes the only time my car ran hot was without it at highway speeds or when the 3 bolts under the Rad were left out by a mate helping me! ;)

    I run a single big line from a T on the Cam Boxes to what would be the accordian on mine and it works fine but I figure if you have it all there already it's a well engineered system why not just replace the hose and forget it for another 15+ years ;)! I started with an NA so I didn't have...

    AM: Due to being Turbo the PVC system faces a few odd issues and is designed to work under boost as well as off boost driving. I'd just replace the dead hose.

    Sorry but I don't think anyone is saying a tight AirCon belt is the cause here. NOT doing it up to 197 Ft/Lbs is the cause the effect is at best a damaged Dampener but by this time if he's kept driving it the Crank and Key are probably toast.....

    It's just a big sheet of moulded plastic that runs from the Lip to the Crossmember and is folded up at the sides. Well worth replacing. Make sure you fit the bolts under the radiator as these are critical to it working correctly.
