could i use a vacuum modulator instead of the cable? or is that the th350/400 im thinkin of, i remember one of the trannies having that. maybe they have both?
Intresting, the adapter kit is 699, and a converter is 790, total of 1489. not bad. gota see if it will bolt up to a 700r4, the website isnt that detailed on what transmissions bolt up to there adapter plate. Thanks will. :bigthumb:

ive considered it, but i really like the car bieng automatic. advantages of the automatic with the comfort for long cruises.
automatics are perfectly capable of what i want, its just somewhat costly and it seems noone else is intrested in what im looking to do.

from IPT its $27XX and it says anything faster then 9.99 should be swaped to th400. for 3 grand i would have already swaped to a th400 rather then waste it on a stocker. Also that doesnt include a converter and a custom converter can go for anything from 500 to 1500. making a total of 3200-4200$...
i agree, but it seems as though its either, stock tranny that seems to be questionable at 11's or a th400 that can go 8's.

i did the same thing, over the course of my funds time limited 2 year build it slipped my mind, remembered it 3 days later while it was still on the stand pulled the head off, popped them on and the coating was fine. im running a cometic 2mm with arp's.
its prolly jammed into the shifter linkage, wiggle it around and keep pulling. how hard were the bolts to tighten? sounds like it wasnt aligned propperly when installed
could be a brake hose, or maybe a bad caliper. its prolly on its way out locked up but not quite there yet. take the caliper off and try to push in the piston. it shouldnt require extreme force.
