It's all Castrol synthetic not that expensive but in the quantities required it adds up!
Motor takes 10 Litres/qts and I get another 5 for top ups Trans takes 3 and I get 4 just in case of leaks or spills and the Diff takes 4! ;)
Weight isn't always that bad a thing in rims!
My first set of aftermarket rims on the Mk3 were very light weight and expensive but even at 44psi in the tires they ended up flat spotted from our great roads......
Big heavy car + low profile tires + bad roads = bad vibrations!
Jag: It's just a case of as soon as you change the slightest spec from the Toyota standard it all becomes custom fit and as said this applies to any motor. ;)
Even if you weren't machining the crank you'd still have to micc it up before ordering bearings from Toyota to compensate for wear as...
Mic: It's the second convertor down for spring rates...... ;)
Trust me on the stock spring and 5>6mm shim though, I run my motor to 8000 and never have spiking!
