It's actually not such a stupid question! Logic would suggest that pressure may drop as you exceed the free flow LPM of the pump as it runs unrestricted! (Just guessing here and would be cool to check out in the real world)

Not being a cock or anything but at least go out and check under the Oil Cap and Pull the Dipstick to make sure it's not leaking coolant into the Oil or your $500 BHG fix might turn into a $3000 total rebuild if you keep driving it.....

When I do a retorque I back crack the nut then pull it down to spec in the correct order, if not you'll get a false reading.

I'd chuck a gauge on the FPR and watch what it's doing under boost.
