Looking at our port size v's valve size/area Id' guess the restriction is at the valves not in the intake but that's just a guess on my part so I'd love to see real data! :) (I'm a bit nerdy that way)
Weez: Once you get to that sort of level an Oil T Stat is a great idea in a full flow Cooler system instead of the half arsed joke stock pressure based Cooler circuit!
Too Hot or too cold is equally bad.
I think the temp rise in the Oil due to speed would be minimal as I doubt there would be...
Weez: If that were happening it would be more a bearing material/design issue than a Oil system design one!
There are many motors that run 100 psi with no errosion issues.
I think to approach the sort of pressures needed to errode modern bearings you'd burst the filter can first.
JaV: Only pressure in the pan is from blowby so leaks there are usually from Cletus Mods to the PCV system which can cause the Oil to back up in the drain from the Turbo causing smoke.
Turbo's don't have "seals" as such but use a combination of piston ring seals sometimes a carbon face seal...
Driz: Rough rule of the thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm to this I add another 10 psi on the top end so for me 8000 rpm = 90 psi.
JaV: There are no seals in out motor under Line pressure ;)
