Quite a few of my inners are tight inside the outers and I think this is what caused the failure at 8000!

Only time race fuel will make that sort of difference is if the ECU is pulling timing due to knock on crap fuel.
Dump some good gas in the timing comes back to where it should be and the car makes more power!

You actually lose power the higher the octane.....
It allows you to increase Timing/Compression or Boost and from these you get a power increase NOT from the fuel.
