Clevite Performance Rod Bearings/ Main bearings..Yes or NO?

Genuine Group A Bearing sets are fully grooved but I'm not sure I agree with the reasoning behind doing this as it removes surface area from the loaded side of the bearing. Most available bearing sets are only upper grooved. (Toga's being the exception) My Crank shop while not bagging them...

Clevite Performance Rod Bearings/ Main bearings..Yes or NO?

Just came down to availability in the sizes I'm using! My crank has extensive work and after a miscalculation on my part I ended up with chatter marks in 2 rod journals so had to cut the Rod journals 30 under!

Clevite Performance Rod Bearings/ Main bearings..Yes or NO?

Well you can't buy genuine Clevite77's so strike that one! NDC's are probably the next best quality bearing, never used the Toga's and my Crank shop never mentioned them as an alternative. I used Fed Mogul Rods and NDC mains this time around with Repco Thrusts.

    Aluminum Driveshaft

If it were 1:1 wall thickness with the steel shaft maybe........ but it would be so weak it would corkscrew so nah! Aluminium as a material is quite dead without much in the way of "spring" it will bend easily but takes very little to push it past it's elastic limits where it can't return...
