Sometimes W58's destroy the nose of the Mainshaft where it goes inside the Input shaft and locks them together with the bearing.
With it in neutral you should be able to turn one while holding the other.
You need to add whatever is removed from the block and head to 1.37mm to determine the MHG that will give you stock comp ratio.
Don't assume that the block and head are having their first cut measure it to make sure!
Steven: A retorque is worth a try but don't get your hopes up!
DO NOT drive or run the motor
Biggest component in doing a MHG is the prep work if you don't do it rights it's a waste of time.
