If you can work out an easy IC Bypass that'll work fine as long as you're not in boost for extended periods. (I ran ALL of my old turbo cars without IC's as they were "draw through" systems with Carbs)
BD: Crank at TDC both Cams with the centre pin straight up
Pullies with the notch mark at 12 o/clock
Rotor button needs to be pointing at #1 plug wire
There is a whole section in the TRSM on setting it all if you follow that step by step you can't go wrong.
Not 100% sure on the weights but I think it's without pins, I've e-mailed JE for confirmation.
I'm not trying to rain on your parade here Dow just stating from personal experience that I wouldn't want anything lighter than a JE for a street motor.

Unbolt the shaft at the rear uni turn it 180 degrees and bolt it back up.
Also sight along the Uni joints and make sure all 3 caps are in line.
The spacers go between the carrier and the body.
After a certain amount of rwhp you need xx flow in the return when closing the throttle and xx at full throttle I'm not sure of the internal construction of the stock FPR but I know Malpassi's have an issue with valve flutter above a certain flow.
I'm looking at this from a performance PoV...
