Copper is good as long as you DON'T use 15 cans per gasket ;)

Just take the entire head assembled to the shop and get them to do the work (trust me on this)

Does ARP make bolts? All I can find are studs << Yes they do
What grit sandpaper to get the old HG off is best? << Sharp scraper used carefully is better
Leave cams in? I dont want to take them out lol << no reason to remove...
Leon: It could be leaking at high boost/temps then settle back down when it cools enough not to affect the comp test. (Sometimes a crack will exhibit this behaviour)
Grab a torque wrench and run the head bolts to see if there are any loose ones before tearing into it.

So by your own reasoning replacing the doors with these Carbon ones will result in even more Targa flex in the Chassis......
Ed: As far as I can tell the material is much the same from early to late production (This is just based on how each machines it's quite hard for Cast Iron)
As I stated earlier pay close attention to ALL of the holes in the deck of the early blocks before spending a pileOcash on machine work...
Any good radiator shop should be able to recore yours at a fraction of the cost from the dealership.
It's a big job to remove and repair it though :(

Go through a bunch of the basics first before pulling the motor...
Unclip an injector at a time and see if it stops.
Try using a long screwdriver as a stethoscope and listen around the motor.
Has the Oil Pressure dropped since it started tapping?
Burn me at the stake as a Heretic but in FG for the part to be stong enough to cope with everyday use it's going to be close the the weight of the steel part as it'll need a good deal of hardpoints and reinforcements added.
