Jeff: As far as I can tell there are 3 pullies that fit our cars I know the small ones came along with PPS but I think the 2 larger were non PPS early cars. (very confusing)

LOL well unless you have a HUGE alternator when the pump is on it's going to drain the battery some then the Alt drag is higher while it tops the battery back up ;)

Early 86.5's have minimal power assistance due to the large pully that slows the pump down, couple this with a slightly smaller steering wheel and big front rubber and you get nice "feel", I ran a smaller pully for a short while and prefer the larger one. As for the MR pump not taking power...
