Dave: The big clue was it blew the smoke badly after using engine braking for a long time so it's either stem seals or it's pulling oil through the PCV under prolonged vaccum.

Interesting that they exhaust shop have cancelled out any benefit of having the flex pipe in the DP but plumbing the WG to the other side of it ;)
I looked at a couple of different ones and my machine supplier steered me away from the lighter ones like the HF one linked.
He says they're very limited in the gauge of material they can bead before breaking the frames, even with my big one I still anneal the 2mm aluminium pipe to make it...
