Kevin: I  WJ cut parts as there's no heat affected zone which makes any more machine work much easier.
If you can find a shop that isn't hammered with work the price should be good.
Kevin: Grab the yellow pages and look up "WaterJet Cutting" it'll give a MUCH nicer finish with minimal cleanup needed and once they digitise the design should be quite affordable.
Chris: They use 2 sheets of what almost looks like plyboard one on either side then shrink wrap it in black plastic, it's THE best HG packaging for the mail I've seen.
0 chance of the mail Gorillas destroying it short of stabbing it with a forklift.
Tiss: LMAO correct ;)
Cam timing is very important when changing Head Gasket thicknesses, I always degree mine to restablish a 0 point.
Dumas: Also correct the Stopper is a little more resistant when run ragged.
(lean 30 psi pulls with high intake temps for example)
Poodles: Ummm I...
Brett: The 7M is a non interference motor meaning the valves can't hit the pistons no matter how the belt is installed so YOU can't fit it later once you find the Tensioner.
One point here is when you install it you MUST use a torque wrench and tighten it to 36 ft/lbs this is very important...
FT: Correct if you want to maintain stock Comp you need to add what's been removed from the Head and the Block to 1.37mm to get the correct thickness.
Last time I did the calculations I was at 8.26:1 compression ratio with minimal surfacing and a 2mm MHG.
Chris: I can arrange the machine...
Got mine from a place in Sydney around the $400 mark + postage
(they ship it in a bombproof cover so it's a little expensive)
My Stopper has been reused 3 times so even if it wasn't damaged from the intake explosion I wouldn't have used it again.
It only blew between 3 cylinders and...
2mm HKS Stopper here.
I've used TMS/Cometics and have actually managed to blow all 3 types but the HKS put up the biggest fight ;)
(I have a new one here ready to install)
Ron: I use the pre89 square mounts as they have limiters and I still bolt the Toyota Torque limiter/damper shock to the left mount.
Both my mounts were original 86 parts and were 90% broken through age but still held the motor in place.
