Dow: The "Secret" with the metric brass plugs is to use a socket 2mm smaller with an extension to drive them in with the Minimum number of hits!
Coat the plug with #4 Permatex tap it lightly in to start it straight/square then hit it HARD, if you use a lot of small taps the plug losses it's...

It was just drilled and tapped and bolted down through the Converter bolt holes.
I made an arbor out of an old Crank so it would all machine on centre.

Will: When I built my twin for the Toyota 4v V8 in the Datsun they only ever came as Autos so I got a second Auto DP cut the ring gear off and bolted a piece of 1/2" plate steel to it machined it and had it surface ground.
It worked perfectly ;)
Carefully inspect the gasket around the dowel holes and if there's no cracks or other visual damage by all means strip the Viton off coat with Copper and reuse.
Baboon: Fine as a temp stopgap to be replaced ASAP but as something to be used "forever" not good at all as the Cereal box doesn't have any tensile strength and will blow out eventually causing an unmetered leak and a lean condition in the closest cylinder and we all know how that usually ends...
TMH: Exactly not to mention the puddle in the 3000 pipe when you slam the throttle shut on boost and the rich uneven distribution when you reopen it....
