what mk3's inspired you to do your car?

Omg, yes, Dan Matoba's car. I forgot about that 1jz car. That was probably THEE cleanest MkIII ever. And what was name? Mike Urbano from the west coast, as well. Dark blue 1jz with a full bomex kit, jdm fender flares, volk rims...etc. I liked that car. Alot of you west coast guys got some nice cars.

what mk3's inspired you to do your car?

What inspired me? The first mkiii I've ever seen was about 5-6 years ago, which was owned by my friend Dean. I thought it was a hot looking car, but didn't know it was classified as a "fast" car and payed no attention to it. So, a little while later, he takes off and starts going down [5] [15]...

    Thoughts on an aluminum block

^ Definately. For my next mkiii, I plan on going ballz out with it. This is why I'am looking into everything now. I'am just going to start drilling holes in everything, lol. j/k

    Thoughts on removing AC system

Yeah, unless you're an old man and you happen to be going through a mid-life crisis, don't remove it (I couldn't resist :D). Worried about parasitic loss? Cut the belt, buy a new one when you want to use it again. Or, you could buy an n/a mkiii, keep the a/c, and use it as a daily driver...

    Thoughts on an aluminum block

Lol. Yeah, 50lbs of savings wouldn't be worth it, but then again, chevyeater brings up some good ideas. Chassis lightening is also something I think about. Only thing we can do is lighten the sub-frames, I guess, since we're uni-body. Besides a complete carbon-fibre shell, I don't know...

Heard the turbo spool up for the first time

Great stories! I first experienced boost in the passenger seat of a 450rwhp t-61 mkiii ala "supradean", a few years back, 99'- 2000' or so. This fool decides not to warn me, and I nearly get whiplash from how freaking hard this thing pulled. Sideways up through 5th. My words were also "OH SHIT!"

    Can She handle it?

lol. I learned how to drive standard on a piece of crap late 80's s-10, I was 15. I was also high on the ganja while trying to do this (yes I quit that crap, I'm 21 and quit for good when i was 17). Anyways, my only problem was that I had a hard time letting off of the gas between shifts. Taking...

    Thoughts on an aluminum block

Interesting. Yeah, 'cause I was wondering...well what about the LS1? It's good for abut 550hp untill you need to start doing internals. If somebody ( with ample funds ) will bite-the-bullet and be a test subject, that would be great. I would, but I can't afford it right now. In the future...

    Thoughts on an aluminum block

I don't know what it takes or even how to go about building a custom block, but has anybody ever thought about this or have the means and know how? What could be the pros and cons? I guess this could be good for weight savings, but I can't think of anything else. What do you guys think? Good...

rs*r gt2 turbo exhaust.. for non turbo?

It will work if this exhaust is built for an mkiii supra. If not you have to cut, re-shape and re-weld the piping to get it to fit. The 3" piping will be fine, but don't go any higher with an n/a.
