I always make sure to keep the PSU plugged into the cord and into the wall (with the switch off) so that you're actually grounded. Grounding to the case is useless unless it's on a ground pad... Disconnect EVERYTHING and reseat everything. I've seen CPU fans cause vibrations that stopped...

the weight of the motor and batteries would offset ANY gain from doing it this way... The last time I saw a motor that was made to test roots style superchargers, it was almost as big as an engine and needed nealry a room of electrical components to step up the power from the wall...
